My journey to find what foods heal and what foods hurt, started a lot longer ago than I thought. I grew up on things like ‘Mocha Mix’ because I had a milk allergy. I wasn’t lactose intolerant. If I consumed milk products (ice cream, cheese, yogurt) I would get big circles under my eyes and I would have cold-like symptoms.  And despite this fact, that cows milk hurt my body, I ate ice cream anyway.  

*FAST FORWARD 30ish YEARS*  

I still love ice cream. However, it still doesn’t agree with my body. I’ve been on this ‘Voyage to Wellness’ since I had my son 9+ years ago. Through this voyage there have been ‘AH-HA’ moments and frustrating moments, peaks and valleys. And I’m still figuring stuff out. Because when you’ve treated your body like a trash can for many years, it will take some time to heal. It won’t come all at once. Set backs happen. But you learn from them and move forward. 

My journey has brought me here. Voyage Wellness. I am a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I studied through the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and had an amazing experience. It was one of the hardest, yet most rewarding thing (next to my marriage and having my 2 babies) I have experienced. I have learned so much and met some phenomenal people. I’m also really excited to continue learning because the world of health and nutrition is ever evolving. 

If you’re here because your curious about what I do, it’s simple. I’m here to empower you to take the steps you need to be healthier. I’m here to encourage you when you need to be reminded that you’re so worth it. And I’m here to educate. There are so many false beliefs around food and health. I want to educate you. Give you perspective.  And help you along your voyage to health and wellness.
